Outlined below are additional services the Teachers’ Center offers you to enhance the education of the students you serve.
Teacher Requested Professional Development Grant Program
A group of two or
more teachers from any district or combination of districts in St. Lawrence
County can request Teachers’ Center funding for professional development in
their district or some other centralized location. The training needs to
serve a minimum of 10 people. The Teachers’ Center reserves the right
to extend the invitation to educators from other districts to attend.
Applications should be submitted about two months prior to the
scheduled event. Download the
application or you can obtain one by contacting the SLV Teacher Center office..

A listing of the grants funded over the past several years can be requested from the SLVTLC. The SLVTLC Excellence in Education Grant program is open to any school teacher in St. Lawrence County. A Grant Committee reviews all grant applications and prioritizes according to the score received on the rubric included in the application. All approved Grant applicants must complete the Program Summary. Please contact us for a copy of the application. The application deadline date is October 31, 2008.
